The Exam only option is for fully trained engineers who have an in-depth knowledge of BS5839-1:2025.
It is required that you have already undertaken 40 hours of instruction on BS5839-1:2025, If you are confident your knowledge is at level 3 standard this is the exam only option without any further training.
You will have to provide evidence of certificates of training to take exam only.

Understand the requirements in relation to the responsibility for the limitation of false alarms and unwanted fire alarm signals
Understand requirements of BS 5839-1 in relation to the installation of fire detection and fire alarm systems
Understand the requirements of BS 5839-1 in relation to the commissioning and handover of fire detection and fire alarm systems
Understand the requirements of BS 5839-1 in relation to the maintenance of fire detection and fire alarm systems
Understand the requirements of BS 5839-1 in relation to the user’s responsibilities of fire detection and fire alarm systems
Understand the information contained within the annexes of BS 5839-1
